Recognize Earth as a planet in the solar system, observe and model regular celestial patterns including the apparent movement of the Sun, shadow length and orientation throughout the day, the changing phases of the Moon, crater formation on lunar surfaces, and the visibility of stars and planets using unaided observation and optical tools.
