OGM.1.MD.1
Describe and directly compare measurable attributes of objects—such as length, height, weight/mass, capacity/volume, and surface area—identifying which object has more or less of an attribute and explaining reasoning.
OGM.1.MD.2
Estimate and measure length, weight, capacity, and area using non-standard and arbitrary units (e.g., paperclips, interlocking cubes, handspans, balances) and explore the transition toward standardized tools.
OGM.1.MD.3
Sequence daily events, times of day (morning, noon, afternoon, evening, night), days of the week, and seasons; explore calendars, sand timers, and analog/digital clocks to develop a sense of duration and routine.
OGM.1.MD.4
Develop awareness of money in daily life: recognize, sort, and name common coins and bills, understand their value and exchange purpose in purchasing contexts.
OGM.1.MD.5
Classify, sort, and organize objects into categories based on physical attributes (color, size, shape, function); count the number of objects in each category and sort categories by count.
OGM.1.MD.6
Pose questions of interest, collect data from the immediate environment, represent findings using physical objects, pictograms, tally marks, and simple bar charts, and answer questions about the displayed information.
OGM.1.MD.7
Explore likelihood and chance in daily situations using intuitive qualitative terms (certain, impossible, possible, likely, unlikely, more/less likely).
