1. Characters (Who)
A character is a person, animal, or make-believe creature in a story.
Characters think, feel, talk, and make choices in the story, like a clever fox, a superhero kid, or a friendly dragon.
Once we have our characters, where do they go?
2. Setting (Where and When)
The setting tells us where and when the story takes place.
It answers two questions: Where are they? (like a sunny park or deep ocean) and When is it? (like daytime, nighttime, or long ago).
