What does every great data table look like before we even write a single clue inside?
Rows, Columns, and Headers
A column is a vertical section running straight up and down, while a row is a horizontal strip running left to right.
The top row contains the headers, which are clear labels telling your reader exactly what is inside each column.

Two Types of Data: Numbers and Words
Quantitative data is information you measure or count using numbers, like measuring plant height or counting seeds.
Qualitative data is information you describe using words and your five senses, like noting leaf color, stem texture, or odor.
