Have you ever wondered why Saturday always comes after Friday, over and over again? Time moves in repeating circles, just like a spinning wheel!

The 7 Days of the Week

There are seven days in one whole week. After the seventh day finishes, the cycle starts right back at the beginning.
Say them out loud in order: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
A common mix-up is thinking Monday is the very first day because school starts, but standard calendars always start each row with Sunday.
Seven days make one week, but what happens when you put many weeks together to build a whole year?

The 12 Months of the Year

One year has twelve months in all. Just like the days of the week, the months always follow the exact same line from first to last.
The year always starts with January and finishes with December.
To find any month, look at its neighbors: if your friend's birthday is in March, the month right before was February, and the month right next is April.
Try singing or chanting the months from January to December while pointing to your birthday month along the way!
