Imagine you want to build a cool treehouse.
You can figure out how to build the ladder, how to lay the floor, and how to put up the roof. But if you do not connect those parts in the right order, your roof will crash to the ground!
How do we snap separate mini-plans together into one giant master plan?

Mini-Steps Make the Big Plan

When we have a big goal, we break it into smaller tasks called sub-problems. The mini-plan you create to fix just one small part is a sub-solution.
Integration means snapping all your sub-solutions together in the correct order to create one complete plan.
Let's see how a robot chef puts separate steps together to make breakfast.

Example: The Breakfast Bot

Our goal is to program a robot to make strawberry toast. We already solved three mini-parts on their own:
β€’ Sub-solution 1: Put bread in the toaster and toast it. β€’ Sub-solution 2: Spread butter on the warm slice. β€’ Sub-solution 3: Add sliced strawberries on top.
What happens if we switch the order of our sub-solutions?
