Look down at your feet — you have 2 socks and 2 shoes! When items are matched in sets of two, we call them pairs or equal groups of two.

An equal group means every single group has the exact same number of items inside.

Instead of counting one by one, we can skip count by twos.
Every time you look at a new group, you add 2 more to your count.
