If you flip a bent bottle cap, you can't calculate the theoretical probability of it landing open-side up because its shape isn't symmetrical.

What Is Relative Frequency?
A trial is a single run of an experiment, and the frequency is the count of how many times a specific outcome occurred.
The relative frequency is the ratio comparing the frequency of a particular event to the total number of trials conducted.

Relative frequency acts as an estimate of experimental probability. By the Law of Large Numbers, as the number of trials (n) increases, the experimental relative frequency tends to approach the true theoretical probability.

Calculating from Collected Data
Suppose you flip a bottle cap 80 times, and it lands face-up 28 times.
To find the relative frequency of landing face-up, divide the event count (28) by the total trials (80).

This means that during your experiment, the bottle cap landed face-up 35% of the time, which serves as our best experimental estimate for future flips.
